Crafting

Start out by going to the Varrock general store, in there you will find an NPC named bob. A list of shops available in Varrock is available here. Bob will sell you a variety of gems and tools, the tool you want to buy, is a chissel.

Gems

• Sapphire The sapphire can be baught from Bob for 575 coins, and when crafted into an amulet of magic, it can be sold in the general store for 1'000 coins, making an additional 425 coins.
• Emerald The sapphire can be baught from Bob for 1'494 coins, and when crafted into an amulet of defence, it can be sold in the general store for 1'750 coins, making an additional 256 coins.
• Ruby The ruby can be baught from Bob for 2'300 coins, and when crafted into an amulet of strength, it can be sold in the general store for 3'000 coins, making an additional 700 coins.
• Diamond The diamond can be baught from Bob for 4'312 coins, and when crafted into an amulet of power, it can be sold in the general store for 4'500 coins, making an additional 188 coins.
• Dragonstone The dragonstone can be baught from Bob for 11'500 coins, and when crafted into an amulet of glory, it can be sold in the general store for 13'500 coins, making an additional 2´000 coins.
• Onyx The onyx can be baught from Bob for 229'999 coins, and when crafted into an amulet of fury, it can be sold in the general store for 958'745 coins, making an additional 728'746 coins.

By now you have probably realised that the onyx is the right choice, making 416,8% profit, this is an outrageous amount of money made. The only downside using onyx, is that it only has a max of 5 in stock at Bob, and if another player is buying them too, you might not get any. So stick to the Dragonstones, and buy as many onyx as you can get.
